The last swap I participated in was a background swap. I made "Faux Barn Board" which is the coolest technique ever! I found it on Splitcoast in their tutorials. You need a piece of light colored cardstock. You paint it with white slick paint that has 4 - 5 drops of reinker mixed into it. I used soft suede. Let it dry and then paint over the top with a thin coat of white Elmer's Glue. Let it get ALMOST dry (this is the trickiest part) then paint over the top of it with a thin coat of white slick paint. Then the magic happens!! As the paint dries it starts to split like wood grain! Very cool. Here's a picture of my background.....I'll be back later with a card made using this background!
