Last Easter Card.....

Why, oh, why do I have this problem?  I make lovely cards and then don't get them sent on time.  I'm terrible with this!!  Anyway--here's the last card I made for Easter and now I must get them mailed!  =-)

I believe I got this layout from a Teneale Williams card.  If I find it I will link it later--right now I'm off to grill pork chops!

Easter Blessings!

Holy Week is fast approaching!  I get very busy during this time with church activities as I'm sure many of you do.....here are two of the Easter cards that I made earlier.  I need to get them in the mail pretty soon!

This is totally cased from a you tube video done by Chic 'n Scratch.  I just added the ribbon.  Are you noticing that I really like the egg in the Easter Blossoms stamp set??  Ha!

The next card is very simple and uses the floral image from Friends Never Fade--I colored it with markers and stamped....very simple!  I don't know if you can see the large polka dot background that is embossed in the background...I used one of my texture plates that I tend not to use as much as I should!

Here's wishing you a blessed Easter season--enjoy time with family and friends if you are able!

Milk Carton Fun!

Sorry I've been missing for over a week!  I've been stamping, but didn't get my pictures downloaded until today!!  Too busy!  Here's an adorable little Easter chick made out of the milk carton bigz die.

Here's a card I made for Easter...I cased it from here.  I didn't have the designer paper she used, but like how mine turned out too.  It was a great layout! I really like the egg in the Easter Blossoms stamp set.

I just love the little rosette--I dyed it with regal rose reinker.  The colors I used were regal rose, crumb cake and pear pizzazz.

Sweet Tweet

The designer paper Botanical Gazette, available in the spring occasions mini has some beautiful pictures on some of its pages.  This card uses the bird---no stamping at all except the Happy Birthday sentiment.  The thing I love on this card is the bird's nest.  Soooo cute!  How did I make it you ask?  Well, I punched a 1 3/8" circle, made a slit in it and overlapped it to make a very slight cone.  I then found some burlappy (I just made that word up) looking string and coiled it around the circle gluing it in using the mono all purpose glue available from SU.  Then I took little pieces of string and glued them on top so they looked more like sticks sticking out.  Finally I nestled some of SU's pearls that I colored blue with both marina mist ink refill and a permanent marker.  I clipped off the tip on the bottom of the cone and stuck it down with glue dots.  I saw this idea here first and followed several links to discover ideas of how to do it!  Here's the card:

I forgot to say that I did color in the bird to look like a robin with ink and a blender pen.  I used chocolate chip paper along with the dsp and the crumb cake seam binding.  Hope you like it!

C'mon Spring!

I finally saw the sun again today--what a relief!  Now if the wind would die down...I sound a bit whiney don't I?  I'm starting to fall under the influence of some of my first graders!  =-)  Hopefully the warmer weather will help me get over my cold.  I'm tired of coughing all day long!  Here's the last hurrah of my Sweet Summer SAB set--really like this....today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration....farewell free stamps until next year.  I'm not so excited about the color in this.....but it truly looks better in real life.

I'm off to school--I have a sub this morning and need to get all of the plans ready for her before the day begins!
